What is the importance of blessings, and how one bestows blessings?
In Thai tradition, on important days like New Year’s Day, or other auspicious days, younger generations always pay respect and ask for blessings from their elders. I’d like to ask Luang Phaw the importance of blessings, and how one bestows blessings.
Everyone’s goal of life can be classified into 3 levels : 2. Middle goal of life
The aim is at not only trying to have sufficient in this entire life, but also to set future life goals, by using every possible opportunity to act in meritorious ways

It Is Too Late
When my husband heard “Father was dead”, he suddenly said “Oh no, I have not even repaid any debt of gratitude to him.” He suddenly realized that he loved his father. He bought the first new clothes and a new pair of shoe for his dad. Though he had generosity towards him, he could no longer wear them as his body was swollen. He could only cover him up with those instead.

Wind back 45 years to 27th August 2512 B.E., in the ubosotha (chapel) of Wat Paknam Bhasichareon, and we see a great kalyanamitta who has resolutely decided to ordain and devote his entire life to Buddhism.
Resurrection to Quit
When my husband was young, he drank and smoked a lot. One day, he coughed and was unconscious. His body was cold and I was frightened. After he regained consciousness, he said to me “Please go to pay respects to Luang Pu and King Rama V.” Later, he was able to quit smoking and drinking. Why did my husband do so after he regained consciousness? What did he see?
Paying Respect To Those Worthy of Respect.
The mast difficult work in the world is to cultivate right view. Therefore, whoever cultivates this right view, to us is deserved of the highest respect from us throughout our entire lives.
